Georgette Farren 5/1/2013 Stoneham, MA

Mrs. Georgette Farren, age 69 of Stoneham died on Wednesday following a courageous battle with cancer in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of George “Bob” Farren with whom she shared more than 46 years of marriage. Mrs. Farren was born in Somerville, the daughter of the late George and Ann (Gunset) Sartel. She had been a resident of Stoneham for the past 12 years and prior to that lived in Medford. She had worked as a supervisor for a local college. She had her husband were avid recreational campers and for more than 44 years spent summers in campgrounds in Raymond NH. She aslo enjoyed playing Bingo. Nothing gave her more satisfaction than spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter: Cindy DiCicco and her Fiance` Paul Plourde of North Reading, a son: George Robert Farren Jr. and his wife Julie of Stoneham. Two sisters: Pauline O’Brien and her husband Thomas of FL., Isabel Smith of VA. three brothers: William Sartell and his wife Sheila of Billerica, Richard Sartell and his wife Jeanne of Medford, , James Sartell and his wife Ann of RI,. Sister of the late Roberta Meuse. Funeral from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford on Tuesday May 7 at 9:00 am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Benedict Church, 21 Hathorne Street, Somerville at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers it is requested Contriburions in Georgette’s name be sent to the American Lung Association Of Massachusetts, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451
