Mary Ellen (Fratello) Connolly, a long time resident of Reading, formerly of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Lahey Clinic. Born in Cambridge, Mary was a graduate of Cambridge Latin High School. She was a hairdresser at Filene’s in Boston for many years.

The beloved wife of the late John D. “Sonny” Connolly, formerly of Norwood, her many survivors include her children John Connolly and his wife Donna of Andover; Maryellen LeBlanc and her husband Steve of Canton; Marie Barrows and her husband Bill of North Reading. Her grandchildren include: Matthew Connolly and his fiancé Pam Van Dort, Sean Connolly and his wife Teri, Ryan and Jenna Barrows and her great grandson Weston Connolly. Mary most enjoyed spending summers with her family on Cape Cod.

Services will be private.

Antoinetta Rose (Gigante) Busa, of Woburn, formerly of Italy, passed away on Sunday June 30, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 79 years old.

Antoinetta came to America at age 3 with her parents and older sisters Mary and Angie. She was only one of John and Scolastica’s five children to have been born in Italy. Her father John Gigante enlisted in U.S. Army during WWI and became a naturalized citizen under U.S. Soldiers and Sailors Act of 1918.

Antoinetta was a graduate of Stoneham High School. She worked for Marilyn Sandal Corp. on Main St. in downtown Stoneham where she met David Busa. They married on November 28, 1954.

She was a devoted wife and stay at home mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking family meals and Italian family holiday traditions at her home.

Antoinetta was the beloved wife of the late David G. Busa. She was the devoted mother of Maria E. Morey and her husband Jack, and David G. Busa Jr. Loving grandmother of Kristina A. Iljazi and her husband Ilir, Allison L. Sammel and her husband Robert, Matthew D. Busa, Sarah E. Busa and her fiancé Andrew Cote, Laura M. Busa. She was the cherished great grandmother of Leila, Ilir and Jeton Iljazi, Ausin Tyler and Savannah Rose Sammel, and Dominic G. Cote. Dear sister of John Gigante and his wife Joan, Anthony Gigante and his wife Sandra and the late Mary Lucci and her husband Dominic, Angelina (Angie) Caiado and her husband Arthur. Daughter of the late John Gigante and Scolastica (Gigante). Sister in law of Patricia Westwater, Betty, Alice and Lizzie Busa. Life long friend of Shirley Zimmerman. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service Celebrating Antoinetta’s Eternal Life in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Wednesday at 12pm.

Visiting Hours will be held prior to the service from 10am-12pm. Valet parking and handicapped entrance available. Interment Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Joseph John Puopolo Jr., of Stoneham, passed away on Wednesday July 3, 2013. He was 27 years of age.

Joseph was the beloved son of Joseph J. and Dolores K. (Cavallo) Puopolo. He was the loving fiancé of Maria Ouzounidis. He was a proud Task Force Storm Veteran serving as a US Army Ranger in the 10th Mountain Division in Afghanistan.

Joseph was the devoted brother of Dominica Puopolo and Anthony Puopolo. He was the loving uncle of Gabriella “Moo Moo” Puopolo and the cherished grandson of Antonette (LaFerrera) Cavallo and her late husband Joseph “Peppy” Cavallo and the late Dominic Puopolo and his late wife Rose Marie (DeLuca) Puopolo. Joseph was also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Nancy Lynne Archer of Tewksbury, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at her home in Tewksbury. She was 59 years of age.

Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Cecilia (LeBlanc) Archer. Nancy was a warm and caring mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Nancy enjoyed her many cats over the years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Nancy enjoyed working at Worldwide Tech Services and she was a devoted Red Sox fan.

She was the devoted mother of Cassandra Steeves and her husband Greg, Miranda Archer, William A. MacBrien and Meghan Julien and her husband John. She was the cherished grandmother of Timothy Archer, Rylie Steeves and Brody Steeves. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service celebrating Nancy’s Life will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 1 pm in the Chapel of the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. James G. Ghirardi, Jr. of Reading passed away on July 4, 2013. He was 80 years of age.

Born in Boston, James was the loving son of the late James G. and Clorinda (Ralli) Ghirardi.

He was a warm and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

James proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Army during the Korean War.

James was the beloved husband of Grace A. (Mahoney) Ghirardi. He was the devoted father of John Ghirardi and his wife Marcy and the late James Ghirardi and Robert Ghirardi. Father-in-law of Karen Ghirardi and Megan Ghirardi. James was the cherished grandfather of Craig, Glenn, Daniel, Declan, Christine and Anabel.

Madeline (Melchionda) Azzalina, a long-time Medford resident died peacefully at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester. She was 94.

Born and raised in Boston’s North End she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Donata (Colantonio) Melchionda. The beloved wife of the late Louis Azzalina, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage, Madeline worked as a principal clerk at the Registry of Motor Vehicles. She was a devoted wife mother and grandmother who will be missed by those who knew her.

She leaves her children: Camille White and her late husband Douglas of Charlemont, Louis J. Azzalina of Stoneham, Richard A. Azzalina and his wife Barbara of Medford. She was a loving sister to Ann Resmini and her husband John and the late Joseph Melchionda and his wife Angie. The loving grandmother of: Douglas White and his wife Julia, David White and his wife Amy, Russell Azzalina, Lauren Conneely and her husband John, Scott Azzalina and his wife Aom, Robert Azzalina and his wife Desiree, Marisa Azzalina and Michael Azzalina, Madeline also leaves her loving great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Benjamin, Daniel and Caroline White.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday July 10th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home Tuesday 4 – 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

Ann L. (Doyle) Micalizzi, of Reading, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 9th at Woodbriar of Wilmington. She was 82 years of age.

Born in Wakefield, Ann was the daughter of the late Frank W. Doyle and Catherine A. (Dugan) Doyle.

Ann was a consummate mother and homemaker. Her family meant the world to her and were first and foremost in her life. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Ann was the beloved wife of the late Joseph V. Micalizzi. She was the devoted mother of Daniel J. Micalizzi and his wife Theresa, Mark S. Micalizzi and his wife Patricia, Eileen A. (Micalizzi) Fedorchuk and her husband Tom all of Billerica, Patricia A. (Micalizzi) Shapiro and her husband Jonathan of N. Waterboro, ME and the late Maria Micalizzi. Cherished grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of 1. Ann has 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 4 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie A. (Enos) Darling, of Reading, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday July 12, 2013 at the Winchester Hospital. She was 70 years of age.

Marjorie was a life long resident of Reading. She was educated in Reading Schools and was a graduate of Reading High School Class of 1960. She love spending time with her family and was a Nanny to all of her grandchildren.

She loved to bake and crochet and was an avid crafter. Marjorie used to make new born hats for Winchester and Emerson Hospital. She was also the leader of Camp Fire Girls.

Marjorie was the beloved wife of Laurence Darling. She was the devoted mother of Susan True of Reading, Leslie Kobrenski and her husband Michael of Lawrence, and Sharon Levesque and her husband Rene of Reading . Loving grandmother of Victoria and Sarah True of Reading, Ryan, Caitlyn, and Sean Kobrenski of Lawrence, Lauren and Stacey Levesque of Reading. Patricia M. (Murphy) Baril of Wakefield died July 16, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with colon cancer at the age 70.

Born in Malden, Patricia was the daughter of the late Mary and John Murphy. She was a graduate of Lawrence Memorial Hospital School of Nursing June, 1964. Patricia was a warm and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was the beloved wife of William “Bill” A. Baril. Patricia was the devoted mother of Kevin Baril, Kim Yianacopolus and her husband Paul, Kristine Percoskie and her husband Jack, Keith Baril, Kraig Baril and Kara Maciorowski and her husband Jeff. She was the cherished grandmother of Samantha, Matthew, Jessica, Alexa, Michael, Johnny, Danielle, Tyler and Connor and the dear sister of John Murphy and the late Paul Murphy.

David T. Gill of Woburn, formerly of Everett passed away on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 72 years of age.

Born in Stoneham, David was the loving son of the late Joseph N. Gill and Rosetta (Laforet) Gill. David was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, cousin and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

David was a former principal partner of Souza, True & Partners, Inc. where he designed many local and international buildings. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. David enjoyed cross country skiing and snow shoeing. He liked canoeing and spending time with his family and friends at his log cabin known as Camp David in New Hampshire.

David was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Madden) Gill. He was the devoted father of Matthew D. Gill and his fiancé Desha Crownover and Elizabeth A. Restivo and her husband David. David was the dear brother of Donald J. Gill, M.D. and his late wife Judith and the loving cousin and best friend of Thomas Gaff. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating David’s Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Ercelia was born in Wakefield, Massachusetts on February 17, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Agatina (Carrubba) Corindia of Wakefield.

She was the sister of the late Serena, Eugene, Cyrus, Erbina, Francesca, John, and A. Ernest Corindia. Ercelia is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.
